I love motion panning. when done right, it softens the background, highlights, and lightens the subject. This one was taken in a tennis court, of some friends playing football. f 5.0, iso 800, 1/20, 4.3-180.6 mm lens at 15.9 mm.

I got this one at an easter party a few days ago. I love the shallow DOF, the vibrant colors, and how the framing makes the subject pop. f 5.0, iso 400, 1/160, 4.3-180.6 mm lens at 22.1 mm.
I got this one on the beach in Sri Lanka of some friends, just as I was taking the picture one of their phones popped a flash; lighting their faces for two cameras! I love how the bright flash lights them with a white light, in high contrast to the sky and water. f 3.4, iso 3200, 0.4, 4.3-180mm lens at 4.3mm.
I got this one of Nishan (a friend of ours) during a BBQ at our house. It was a windy evening, so the coals DID NOT want to start. While they were trying to light a starter, I snapped this one. I love the dramatic lighting, unlike most pictures of this kind, in this one you can see the light source, which I think is cool. f 5.0, iso 1600, 1/15, 4.3 mm - 180.6 mm lens at 18.2.
I got this one in an orphanage that we volunteer at. The shallow depth of field and the white backlighting really make their faces pop. I have always loved it when you have the white reflection in your subjects eyes, and this one is no exception. f 5.6, iso 1600, 1/20, 4.3-180.6 mm lens at 43.5 mm.
