Pondering on the grass
Peter LOVES to be outside, so the Gardens at Thanksgiving Point were definitely his cup o' tea!!! Sidewalks, flowers, bugs, butterflies, waterfalls, water to play in, wide open spaces...you couldn't ask for a better outing!
And the best part: He dressed himself that day. ALL of his clothes are on backwards, down to his shoes on the wrong feet! And NO ONE could get him to change them over... Ha!
In honor of the upcoming Easter holiday, we did 'scrambled eggs' today! I cut out two eggs of many different colors, then cut them in half with a different pattern for each one. Then I scrambled all the halves together and had the boys match them up. We worked on color recognition, shapes and matching, and even problem solving skills, as sometimes it looked like it was supposed to match, but one side needed to be flipped over! A great activity for this little guy! He loved fixing all of the scrambled eggs!
Part of the difficulty with having the kids' blogs set up this way is that there is a lot of repetition. Andrew and Peter do everything together right now, so to read about what we're doing, go to Andrew's blog section. Here are a plethora of Peter's pictures: Doing activities, finished products, smiling faces, etc.
