A World without walls
everyday life while homeschooling overseas
We are SOOOO blessed to live here at this time. We are SOOOO blessed to be a part of an amazing group of homeschoolers! These ladies who have organized us into a group have not only made learning fun, given us opportunities to 'socialize' (ha ha) and given us opportunities to support each other, but they've gone above and beyond the call of duty!
This fall, the older kids were organized into a drama group to put on a real play. Last night was the performance. Now, I wasn't involved in everything they did, I only dropped Josh off for rehearsals and ran lines with him and stuff. I can't believe what these people managed to do! I was at a few rehearsals, and the difference between those rehearsals and their final performance was ASTOUNDING! Their lines flowed, their voices carried, they stayed in character, and it was beautiful! The scenery was super cool! I loved every second of it! All the kids were riveted (and it wasn't just mine--this theater was mostly full of the other homeschooled kids with their parents--there are a lot!!!) and everyone enjoyed it. I teared up often as I watched all of these kids prance around in their costumes and perform... But I just about lost it when I watched my little boy--my prince charming--act away on that stage! It still does my heart good thinking about it! I know it was a memorable experience for all of these kids, but I think it will stick in my memory forever, too. Congratulations on the execution of your first play, Josh! May you enjoy many more! (And I'm glad you didn't 'break a leg'!)

I'm so happy you posted pictures. The video you sent only played for 14 min. so we didn't get to see Josh act. It does look like some people did an amaZINg job with producing the play! I'm so proud of what my kids and grandkids are doing in their lives!!

Emily's books
by Dan Brown
I like that the plot twists and turns a lot...and it makes you think. However, I don't appreciate Dan Brown's endings in his books. I find the endings incongruent with the rest of his stories--why make it a romance for the last chapter...

I loved this book. I'm a sucker for fairy tales/fantasy. This was so well written! I can't wait to read all the rest of her books!

I'm reading this one again. I liked it the first time I read it. I'm still liking it for the second time around. I like all of Shannon Hales' books.
**Still lots of fun the second time around! I do like this book for a comfortable...
