What is Christmas without a super cool Gingerbread House?? This year, the embassy club sold gingerbread house kits, so we got one and spent a happy FHE making a house worthy of Hansel and Gretel!! (I even wanted to find some pictures of hansel and gretel and the witch and pop them inside as sort of a diarama, but for some reason no one liked that idea. Not sure why. I thought it was pretty funny.) Voila!! C'est fini! We enjoyed making that little house, and it happily adorns the top of our fridge until Christmas day, which is the day I told the kids they could eat it. I think I'll be gone that day. Blech...

I like that the plot twists and turns a lot...and it makes you think. However, I don't appreciate Dan Brown's endings in his books. I find the endings incongruent with the rest of his stories--why make it a romance for the last chapter...
