A World without walls
everyday life while homeschooling overseas
Christmas is universally known as one of the busiest times of year. That definitely held true for us this year! After our lovely anniversary trip to Hikkaduwa, we were thrown back into the fray with the branch Christmas Party! It was pretty fun, but I think it could have been better. There were a lot of things that I didn't know about that people expected. I do wish someone would have said something!! But I think people seemed to enjoy anyway. We had a sort of talent show where everyone did Christmas music, dances, or skits. The primary put on the nativity. Santa came and gave out gifts. There was a big dinner catered. The only thing missing was some dancing! The next week was full of fun as we prepared for Christmas day! We made tons of cookies and pies and visited friends. Our Christmas Eve was very special spent with some friends eating turkey and singing Christmas carols as loudly as possible! So much love and laughter at our house that night!! The next day was Christmas Day! The kids got us up at 5am, so we opened presents...then Devin and I went back to sleep!! HA! But we had to get up, because that morning two of our friends got baptized! It was a lovely Christmas season! And it's not over yet! There's always fun and surprises at our house! Yay! And as I close this blog post, I will invite our two newest family members, Buddy and Princess, to say so long until next time:

Emily's books
by Dan Brown
I like that the plot twists and turns a lot...and it makes you think. However, I don't appreciate Dan Brown's endings in his books. I find the endings incongruent with the rest of his stories--why make it a romance for the last chapter...

I loved this book. I'm a sucker for fairy tales/fantasy. This was so well written! I can't wait to read all the rest of her books!

I'm reading this one again. I liked it the first time I read it. I'm still liking it for the second time around. I like all of Shannon Hales' books.
