This is a great substitute that I use in place of the dairy version of sour cream. Now, don't get me wrong, this isn't something you can plop on top of your baked potato or taco. It's a little too different for that (in my opinion). However, it is MARVELOUS in soups, or if you have recipes that call for sour cream to be cooked into something (such as sweet breads or stroganoffs).

Finding a marinade that doesn't include sugar or wheat is virtually impossible--even if you're making it yourself! Surprising? I thought so, too. Everything asks for soy sauce. I used to think soy sauce was harmless, and it probably is. However, regular commercial soy sauce has corn syrup in it...and if you get the 'fresh brewed' stuff, it has wheat. Both are no-no's for me and some of my family. While those miniscule amounts probably don't really matter, I'm trying to avoid it all completely. So, I made up a marinade for meat that has no soy sauce, no sugar, and no wheat.
