I got this one on a train. we passed by some rice paddies and I pulled off a few frames out of the open window. I like how the person here is in so much contrast with the rest of the frame, and that the leaves in the foreground are in focus, leaving the subject to zone out. ISO 2000, 1/6400, f 6.0. 18-300 mm lens at 160 mm.
I haven't seen a lot of portraits of Lego guys. (or girls) So I decided to take one. I thought it turned out pretty well. iso 80, 1/250, f 7.1 60 mm macro lens.
Perched on the beast.
Still for now. Soon to be raging, It waits. I wait on, though the others are being chosen one by one. All the same. Their opportunities on the open palm, Snatched away in the last moments. But mine will be different. For those eight long friends, I will stride where others have not. Keeping to what suits me best. My name is called, and slowly, The gate of opportunity is opened, The hand within my grasp, And the beast unleashes. Yesterday I was given a school assignment; to take one picture a day, for a specific category, and write something about it. Today's was grow.
Growing as I sleep Elongating arms and legs Taller and Taller Yesterday, I was looking through pictures from our last vacation and this one from orem caught my eye. it was an portion of a panoramic. I saw how the cloud left a cool shadow on the landscape, and I wondered what I could do with that, and it kind of escalated from there.
I always love it when I get beams of light in a picture like this. This was taken in the middle of a thunderstorm in our front yard. I noticed how the streetlamp hit the raindrops through this tree, and switched to a long shutter speed. (5 seconds) f 4.0, iso 100, 4.3-180.6mm lens at 4.3.
As I have said before, I love motion panning! I got this one as I was walking home from a church activity. I was trying to get some low shutterspeed pictures, but they just weren't working. Then I got this tuk tuk in front of a bright store. f 4.0, iso 100, 0.5, 4.3 to 180.6 mm lens at 7.2.
I love motion panning. when done right, it softens the background, highlights, and lightens the subject. This one was taken in a tennis court, of some friends playing football. f 5.0, iso 800, 1/20, 4.3-180.6 mm lens at 15.9 mm.
