I really like pictures with this kind of light. They are really easy to create, and I think they give a more powerful feeling. This one I got on our first day in the motorhome on our last vacation. I was sitting at the table/bed acros from the door, Claire was in the couch next to the door, and Peter and Andrew were sitting up in the bed above the cab looking out the windows. I did tweak this one a bit by romoving the light source, (the window.) and increasing contrast a tad. f 5.6, iso 1600, 1/320, 4.3-180.6 mm lens at 38.7 mm.

This one I got of olliver in ohio ofter an evening of playing. I love the lighting in this picture! it was taken during the golden hour in the evening, and I think the background is in a good shade of dof; not so blurry that you cant make out what it is, but not sharp enough to distract from the subject. f 4.5, iso 800, 1/100, 4.3-180.6 mm lens at 10.1 mm.
This one I shot on our last vacation to the US. we were at a campground by a lake, and decided to rent canoes. I really like how the overcast sky evenly destributed all the light in this scene, how smooth the water is, the transition into the mountains in the background, and the way you cant see their faces creates a sense of "Onward! Adventure lies ahead!" f 5.6, iso 400, 1/1000, 4.3-180.6 mm lens at 35.1 mm.
lately I have taken to night photography and the fruits of staying outside for one or two hours extra are astounding to me.
I just found out how to use photoshop, and here is the new version of Andrew, Andrew, Andrew, Andrew, and Andrew shooting at eachother on the stairs
Today Andrew decided to fight himself on the stairs. (not really.) I finally made use of my tripod, here are five pictures of Andrew on the stairs merged together in Microsoft Powerpoint. its not the best job i've ever seen, but it was fun to make. in the near future I plan to use photoshop for this kind of thing.
A couple weeks ago we went to the terra rossa olive wood factory. We were there for a tour we had set up a week in advance. They had many things to show us; like how they made nativity sets, butterflys, rolling pins, Christmas tree ornaments, Noah's ark, and many other things all made out of olive wood! They had two floors of a small building down a small alleyway. It was such a cool place to visit and see and I would definantly go and have anather tour. Here are a few pictures I took; Yesterday night I started playing around with the school camera. And I found out that it can put frames and backgrounds in the pictures. I also put in the times and day and month and year. Here are a few I got; |
