A World without walls
everyday life while homeschooling overseas

I find it ironic that in order to afford a house...that we are no where near to...we have to sell our car that we use on a fairly regular basis. That "regular basis", however, wasn't regular enough to warrant our keeping it. That's ok, though. We were able to give someone a good deal, and they were happy, too. This sacrifice will help us pay for our home...that we may use someday...and it might teach our kids something about sacrifice, too! For now, we will travel by tuk and taxi. Sounds good to me!
And since we now have no car, the garage is Just a little review of all our co-op art fun this year! We've done some pretty fun projects and enjoyed some creative space together! Thanks to Zeeniya who faithfully comes every single week! Such a special lady! And so much fun to spend time with some special homeschooling mamas and their kids! :) We sold our car! What a relief. Now we are without our own wheels, but it is a burden lifted! I think it's funny that we have to sell our car that we have HERE and use on a somewhat regular basis in order to afford to buy a house that is far away, and which we'll use this summer...but not again for a LONG time. Oh well. It is what it is. Life is all about making sacrifices and taking the time and opportunity to focus on HIM and what He would have us do. This is what we need to do now. That much was very clear. So, we shall see! From now on, we'll be making our way around town in tuk-tuks and taxis...and taking trips in vans! Here is our car being driven out of our driveway for the last time: ...and now that we have no car, we have room for more creative space! Here is the club-house that used to be our garage: I'll take imaginative play over paying for a car, plus fuel, plus insurance, plus a driver, any day.
Oh, and just in case you wanted to see it, here's our cute new house! This is all we've seen of it, too! Ha! :) |

Emily's books

I like that the plot twists and turns a lot...and it makes you think. However, I don't appreciate Dan Brown's endings in his books. I find the endings incongruent with the rest of his stories--why make it a romance for the last chapter...

I loved this book. I'm a sucker for fairy tales/fantasy. This was so well written! I can't wait to read all the rest of her books!

I'm reading this one again. I liked it the first time I read it. I'm still liking it for the second time around. I like all of Shannon Hales' books.
