A World without walls
everyday life while homeschooling overseas
This is something I love about Colombo: the clouds. Obviously, they look like ordinary clouds in this picture. You might say, "So what? Clouds are clouds!" Well, the thing that I love about the clouds in Sri Lanka is the movement. We all know that there are different types of clouds at different levels. In Colombo, the lower level clouds move super fast pretty much all of the time. The upper level clouds don't move hardly at all (sort of like how 'normal' clouds move...nice and slow). In the picture above, the giant puffy cloud was racing across the sky, while the little puffies above stood almost still. It's pretty incredible and rather hypnotizing to look up and watch the amazing atmosphere put on a gymnastics show. I love it.

The realities of life on the road... From washing our hair in the sink, to toting our laundry around in grocery carts, there's really never a dull moment! Necessity is the mother of invention, and driving in a motorhome is full of necessity! :) We got really creative and enjoyed so much time out of doors. Can't wait for next time! Where we're going we don't need roads! We avoided toll roads and freeways (for the most part). The state highways in the East are beautiful! Check it out! |

I am married to the most amazingly wonderful (and handsome) man in the whole world! Together, we seek out, every day, that Joy in the Journey that makes life exciting! Archives

Emily's books
by Dan Brown
I like that the plot twists and turns a lot...and it makes you think. However, I don't appreciate Dan Brown's endings in his books. I find the endings incongruent with the rest of his stories--why make it a romance for the last chapter...

I loved this book. I'm a sucker for fairy tales/fantasy. This was so well written! I can't wait to read all the rest of her books!

I'm reading this one again. I liked it the first time I read it. I'm still liking it for the second time around. I like all of Shannon Hales' books.
